IT Systems Administrators work directly with the Director of Technology to ensure the healthy, uptime, and stable performance of Threespot’s development infrastructure, including Mac and Windows-based desktops, Linux and Windows servers, and VOIP-based phone systems. They react quickly to emergent technical situations (server downtime, bandwidth issues, service availability, desktop crises, etc.), as well as plan internal support and maintenance to proactively avoid technology crises (backup management, desktop and server OS and application patches, performance monitoring, etc.). They are expected to stay versed in developing networking and infrastructure technologies that may be of use to Threespot or its clients.
As engineers, IT Systems Administrators are comfortable working in a deadline-driven, technology-agnostic, and design-focused environment. They interact with project managers, fellow technical personnel, graphic designers, and keep their manager informed of their workload. They are dedicated to the production of high-quality, elegant solutions that meet client requirements and expectations.
