Projecting authority, protecting freedom.

The ACLU was looking for a website that would do some heavy lifting by growing membership, increasing donations, and helping the organization advocate with more impact. Too many competing graphics—paired with a confusing information architecture—were derailing users searching for details on current events or audience-specific issues. Threespot contextualized ACLU’s content while de-jargonizing the language. These steps not only made it easier for users to process the issues, but also to get involved. The redesign visually communicates the power of ACLU through an assertive aesthetic, reinforcing the importance of immediacy and action.
