Getting the public hip to science.
How do you get people talking about complex scientific issues? When the National Academies approached Threespot, they wanted to encourage conversations about science among community leaders, teachers, and the public, while also making their brand more relevant. For the launch of the first of their Top Ten Science Topics, energy, Threespot devised a new strategy. We began by identifying the most compelling energy stories—making them less intimidating, more digestible. The website helps users become conversant in energy issues while keeping the National Academies brand top of mind. Threespot continues to collaborate with the National Academies on topics 2-10.
