National Archives and Records Administration

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) curates a vast historical collection with the goal of enhancing citizen access and engagement with America’s past. To improve access to the billions of files, images, and records that NARA maintains, Threespot envisioned a digital solution that could improve clarity and findability while streamlining the record management processes for archivists. Through research and prototyping, we developed a roadmap for a user-centric experience that solved organizational challenges for employees and the general public. Toward a similar end, we then redesigned NARA’s API to improve performance and accessibility, ensuring scalability for the future.
